Graphics Division

Overview

Graphics Division main mission is supporting TAW and its goals by providing and creating graphics for different occasions. In Graphics Division we create seals, signatures, posters, overlays, and everything that may be asked of us.

Who are we?

Graphics Division is small, but creative team of great people that are willing volunteer to produce graphics for TAW community. Most of us don’t have professional background in graphics so we learned alone and we still do. (Click on image to visit unit page)

TAW Shop

2017 was a huge year for the TAW Shop, with a lot of changes taking place: Rekon taking over as Shop DC, later to add SheerRoachMonkey as DO, Division Wear & Corps Wear introduced, change of Tab issued, BlackFriday/Cyber Monday introduced, Holiday designs created, and so many meme’s.  But the best thing about 2017, was that so many TAW members bought themselves items, that Shop staff were getting writers cramps from all the Tabs they had to issue out.

Now, we enter 2018.  Where the ground work has been laid by 2017, complete with how a Guide to how Division Wear and Corps Wear is handled, but also a Guide on how to customize your TAW purchase.  We’re already kicking off the new year with some new designs.

First, the TAW Shop proudly brings to you some TAW Love.  Valentine’s Day is a day we all show some love, and we can thank that little sadistic cherub Cupid for launching his bombardment of arrows at unsuspecting bystanders in hopes that they are a match….that or it’s just because he got really bored.

Our Valentine’s Here is available is shown in both men & women’s styles with both the White and Pink pulse’s.  Visit the TAW Shop to grab yours today, love for TAW is year long.

Coming up in March, we have St Patrick’s Day.  Now most of us are usually celebrating it with good friends, great “spirits” (usually dyed green) and awesome music.

But the best thing about St Patrick’s Day, TAW Shop already has you covered.  With the help of our good buddies at TAW’s GFX Division (much love to you guys), we’ve come up this year with our St Patrick’s Day Skull Design.  This is available in both men’s, women’s and unisex. The templates shown on the clothing are like all TAW Wear, where you can change the product they are on.  Cool thing about this design, is that whatever color the shirt is, that’s what color the wording “TAW” will appear as.

But don’t worry, TAW Shop isn’t stopping there.  We’d have to be crazy to do that. Well….

Nope, we’re not going to stop there.  In addition to any approved Division/Corps Wear submissions, TAW Shop will be introducing a minimum of 4 new designs this year, 2 which have already been shown.  We will continue to keep the members up to date with not only Shop promos, but also the Marketplace Promos, this way noone ever misses out on a chance to save money when getting their TAW Swag.  Finally, we will continue to do what we do best, so brace yourselves because ……..

 Welcome to Operations Command

Operations would like to welcome everyone to it's newsletter. This Newsletters purpose is to inform, educate and  provide a means for Operations personnel to publish various material, events or other important information. Unlike most of TAW, Operations  for the most part is behind the scenes doing the work necessary to keep TAW operational.  Below you will find all the Gears behind the Mirrors, and we hope in the future this Newsletter will help illuminate what we do here.

and now a word from the OPS Commanders Desk...

Fellow members of TAW,

As many of you may or may not know, Operations is the branch of TAW where we provide support and manage ‘the back end’ of TAW.  Take some time to read through the Ops Corps and Division updates as there is always a lot of hard work being done behind the scenes that many never notice and as always, if questions or comments arise, feel free to contact me at your convenience.

Development Operations

Just an update on what we’re doing and status of 3.0 moving forward.  Over the holidays we lost a couple key staff to real life.  Since then we have developed a plan to move forward.

We are currently on step two of this plan:

  1. We have put kevlartoo [CC ISC] on the lead of this refocus phase.  He has the experience and knowledge to move forward.  He will be working with Operations Command.

  1. We have allocated all 3.0 assets and kevlartoo is reviewing what we have and the functionality of what is there.  He is also reviewing the documentation in place and patching any holes to move forward.

  1. The next phase is that we will stand up what we have.  Where after, kevlartoo will create a list of what needs to be completed to launch a basic but functional 3.0 and set milestones and deadlines for such.  In addition we’ll assess current staffing and see what skill sets we need /staff we need.

  1. From there, we will seek out staff with the specific skill sets we require.

We will provide timely updates via the Operations newsletter.

Gumpmedals ???!

We changed our helping bot recently and we went back with the same currency name we had for almost three years. At the time we were looking for an award that wasn't too official, but that would make TAW members react when reading the name of the channel’s currency. Guess what? It still works.

 TAW U - Servant Leadership 2

EDU is back with our first ever advanced level TAW U class.

TAW EDU will be hosting a TAW U class on Sunday the 4th of March, at 3:00pm EST/8:00pm GMT. This class will be a higher level class on the topic of servant leadership, and is meant as a follow up to last year's Servant Leadership TAW U class. The instructor will be Cherry [CC OC] and Bravehardt [CC AC].  Cherry presented the first Servant Leadership TAW U at the beginning of last year. Cherry and Bravehardt bring years of real world experience in servant leadership, both inside and outside of TAW.

An explanation of what this class will contain from Cherry himself:

"As our organization has grown over the years, it’s become increasingly important that we actively teach Servant Leadership to new members and leaders coming into our organization. In the introductory class we learned what Servant Leadership was, In this class we will learn how to apply servant leadership to have a healthy organization."

Members that come to this class will learn high level skills and knowledge on the topic of servant leadership and its application to having a healthy organization. Everyone in TAW is invited to attend this class, and it will appear on your events calendar on the taw.net homepage. We encourage you to attend if you are free on the 4th. Please spread the word to your fellow members, so that this class can benefit as much of the community as possible. EDU is grateful for the support this series has received so far, and based on the positive feedback we hope to continue this for the many months ahead.

Important: Members participating in this TAW U should have already participated in the original Servant Leadership course and/or reviewed the recording. This is not a requirement, but something Cherry himself believes is critical in order for attendees to fully understand the presentation.

So join us in TeamSpeak on March 4th, in Operations. You will see the class on your Event Calendar. If you cannot attend the class, be on the lookout for the video recording, which we will post to the TAW Youtube Channel a few days after the event.
